ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has barred Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif from inaugurating a dam in Kahuta.
Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has been restricted from violating the code of conduct, according to the Election Commission. On June 29, the Prime Minister was scheduled to dedicate the dam in Kahuta.
This section of the dam is located within PP-7 Rawalpindi. DROPP-7 contacted the Prime Minister’s Principal Secretary at the request of the Election Commissioner
To implement the code of conduct, the Prime Minister cancelled the dam’s inauguration. The cancellation of the Prime Minister’s visit was communicated by the Principal Secretary.
A public official’s visit to a by-election constituency is a violation of the code of conduct.
