A US jury determined on Wednesday that actress Amber Heard manufactured false abuse accusations against her ex-husband Johnny Depp and awarded him $15 million in damages.
The jury also sided with Amber Heard, who claimed Depp’s lawyer defamed her by calling her abuse accusations fake. She was given $2 million in damages. However, these figures are nothing compared to $15 million she has to pay now.
Recently Johnny Depp was spotted at a pub in Newcastle to celebrate his win in the high profile defamation case against his former wife Amber Heard.
Staff at the bar described how Depp celebrated his win against Heard. They complimented the actor by calling him ‘beautiful’ and ‘down to earth’.
A video released on Twitter by Darren Williams (@DazWilliams) showed Johnny Depp exiting The Bridge Tavern on Newcastle’s Quayside on Wednesday, June 1.
His visit to the pub came on the same day with the announcement that he had won his multi-million dollar US case against his ex-wife Amber Heard.
Janine Latchford, general manager of Newcastle’s The Bridge Tavern, spoke about meeting the superstar, Depp.
“He was the most beautiful man I had ever seen,” she claimed. “My assistant is significantly pregnant, and he was telling her how wonderful it was to be a father.” He was very down to earth and wonderful,” she said.
“He was amazing. He offered me a hug, and I told him I loved him the moment I saw him”, she added
North Shields’ star Sam Fender also revealed on Instagram that he had met the A-lister in the bar.
In an Instagram story, the singer can be seen drinking alongside Depp and Jeff Beck at a table.
Depp, 58, sued Heard in December 2018 for an op-ed she penned for The Washington Post in which she identified herself as a “public figure representing domestic abuse.”
